The Gas Companies: Don’t Purchase Their Tune Ups

Now, when we say this, we don’t want you to think that the gas company providing the natural gas to your Eden Prairie home is a bad company. It’s just that they do not provide comprehensive tune ups. Most people do not know this. We know they work hard to provide homeowners with a resource that is very much needed. And for the most part, they do an excellent job at it, but when it comes to maintaining your cooling system, their tune ups don’t really do much at all. So what does a gas company actually do on a tune up? What they like to do is check your gas lines for safety concerns, check to make sure all the electrical components are hooked up correctly (which they always are) and then they are on their way. Do you think that will help lower your Eden Prairie home’s utility bills? We don’t! So, if you have a service plan with them, we strongly encourage you to reconsider. Why? Because the tune ups they perform do not actually prevent anything at all. And that is the whole point. Tune ups are preventative maintenance.
